Maintaining a safe working environment requires three distinct levels of verification. First, a pre-use inspection must be performed by the authorized user before every single use to check for obvious signs of damage or wear. Second, according to OSHA 1910.140, all fall protection systems must undergo a documented inspection at least annually by a Competent Person. FLS provides a comprehensive Recertification Program that includes these annual inspections, minor repairs, and updated user training. Finally, per ANSI Z359.6, engineered systems must undergo a formal design review by a Qualified Person, such as a Professional Engineer, every five years.
