Houston, TX (PRWEB) August 9, 2009 – Flexible Lifeline Systems, Inc. today announced the recent completion of the design and installation of fall protection systems around a large solar panel installation in Hanover, NJ.
The unique project involved the design and installation of cable-based fall arrest systems on a rooftop to protect employees while maintaining the photovoltaic (PV) panels. This innovative fall arrest system conforms to the size and shape of the solar panel system providing continuous fall protection around the entire system. The use of the constant force posts eliminated the requirements for costly penetrations of the roof due to their patented energy absorbing design resulting in an economical, user-friendly system.
“This is another great example of our ability to mitigate complicated fall hazards for our customers using our wide range of fall protection solutions.” said Andy Townend, President of Flexible Lifeline Systems. “We are pleased to be able to provide such a unique system to protect workers maintaining the solar panels. Alternative energy sources, such as wind and solar, create an entirely new set of fall hazards and Flexible Lifeline Systems is uniquely positioned to assist our environmentally conscious customers in mitigating these hazards.”
