customer testimonial In today’s work environment it is sometimes very hard to find people who really care and enjoy what they do. It has been a little over a year since FLS installed our overhead fall protection systems. One of our major projects was Bldg 770, Bay 2, our narrow body A/C hanger. With the intense and professional help and attitude of Flexible’s System Specialist, this became a reality. Every project like this has to start somewhere, somehow. FLS set the stage for success at the beginning of the project, a prime example of what makes them the best at what they do. Everyday questions from our staff and myself were relentless, but the FLS specialist never failed to deliver. Our questions were answered in a timely manner, and extra site visits were made when called upon. This system is awesome, and technicians still tell me it’s cool! When I train someone, I always say, lookup, everything in yellow is part of our fall protection system. It is said that the people make the company – FLS is a true testament to this. Their fall protection specialists are knowledgeable and experienced in their field, and it shows in their work. If we ever install another system, the 1st call will be to FLS.

Fall Protection System Design & Engineering Process

Phase One: Concept

Phase One: Concept

Fall Protection design starts with the customer. At Flexible Lifeline Systems (FLS), we never assume we know what is best for our customers. Evaluating the job task and asking the user and all stakeholders how they would solve the problem often reveals practical and unique solutions. As possible fall hazard solutions are evaluated using a hierarchy of controls, the best solution that protects the user, is affordable, and has the least impact on productivity is selected. The concept now becomes a workable design.

Phase Two: Design

Phase Two: Design

From a simple hand sketch or even pictures, our systems specialists, designers, and engineers create a solution that is not only functional, but also structurally meets OSHA and ANSI requirements. Oftentimes, this requires structural analysis of not only the fall protection solution, but also the supporting building structures. FLS engineers and designers produce design packages compliant with the latest fall protection regulations.

Phase Three: Reality

Phase Three: Reality

From concept to design to reality, there is no fall protection challenge that cannot be overcome with the resources FLS can provide. We spend extra time in the engineering and design phase to make sure the solutions are not only safe, but also to ensure the product arrives on your site ready to install and minimize any impact on ongoing operations.
